In spite of 100-degree temperatures, Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing’s Mike Alessi gave a strong performance at Freestone County Raceway in Wortham, Texas, on Sunday. The young rider holeshot both motos and then brought home two second-place finishes to take second-place overall. Rockstar Makita Suzuki teammate Michael Byrne celebrated his second sixth-place finish of the season, thanks to eighth- and fifth-place moto finishes.

WORTHAM, Texas (June 8, 2008) – Rookie phenom Ashley Fiolek took her second win of the season on Sunday at round two of the AMA/WMA Women’s National Motocross Championship Presented by Kawasaki. The American Honda/Red Bull/Alpinestars rider swept the weekend’s motos at the Monster Energy Freestone Motocross National Presented by Yamaha, Kicker Audio, and Berkey’s Plumbing.

Villopoto Goes Back-to-Back in AMA Motocross Lites

WORTHAM, Texas (June 8, 2008) – In his first visit to Freestone County Raceway, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s James Stewart, of Haines City, Fla., extended his winning streak to three at the Monster Energy Freestone Motocross National Presented by Yamaha, Kicker Audio, and Berkey’s Plumbing, round three of the 2008 Toyota Motocross Championship Presented by FMF. Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto, of Poulsbo, Wash., swept the day’s motos to earn his second-straight overall victory in AMA Motocross Lites.
