The United States Air Force has been named an official sponsor of the 2006 Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series which debuted its fan-friendly sponsorship program at the first Anaheim race at Angel Stadium.

Nothing came ‘easy’ this weekend at Guthrie’s Lazy E Arena. The long-running fixture on the Toyota AMA National Arenacross Series tour with the sasquatch-sized arena floor footprint will featured arenacross lap times that rival that of supercross tracks. The points chase as we head into Hampton, Va., this weekend is insane close between Yamaha’s Chad Johnson and Thor/Honda/TUF Racing’s Brock Sellards (more on that later in the week).

Kawasaki Racing Team rider James Stewart posted another podium finish at the third round of the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series at Angel Stadium, on Saturday night before a screaming, sold-out, Anaheim, Calif., crowd of 45,050. Team Monster/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Grant Langston earned his first victory in the Amp’d Mobile AMA West Supercross Lites Series.

Jason Lawrence of the ROCKSTAR Suzuki team raced to a 9th place overall finish in the Lites class of the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series at Anaheim last Saturday.
Lawrence, who made the main by finishing fourth in his heat worked hard in the main to record his first top ten finish of the year. The effort also landed him in the top 15 overall (14th) after AMA Lites West races. |

Unbound Energy-backed Chad Reed continued to shine on the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series tour, this past weekend racing to a 2nd place finish before a sold out Anaheim (Calif.) Angel Stadium on Saturday.
With the effort Reed moved into 2nd place in the overall standings and is just four points behind AMA Supercross class series points leader Ricky Carmichael.
